Background Information
SEMrush is a tool which is used predominantly for SEO. However, it can also be used to help you grow your followers on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.
Lots of large influencers who have 500,000+ followers typically have a few various follower types, which are:
- People interested in their lifestyle
- People interested in their opinion
- People trying to become them
Knowing this, we came up with a new and unique way to create a promotion for SEMrush.
The Solution
Rather then targeting traditional user groups like SEO Marketers, we decided to create mini-courses which are free.
In the courses we referenced and used SEMrush to show how it can be leveraged to grow followers on social media.
Each course had links to sign up with discount codes.
Each course was transcribed and created in multiple languages.
The Campaign
The campaign took 2 months to organise and setup, which includes the scripting of the course, recording, editing and all the promotional video that each influencer had to post.
The campaign was a major success, as we saw sky rocketing ROI within days of the release.
